Other limited models include models who try to put together competent professional modeling portfolios for free, using TFP, and who try to compete against professional models with cheap career tools. The independent models who use Independent Modeling are smart, professional models who know enough that to have an advantage over other models, that they have to invest in their careers. Independent Modeling is NOT a modeling and talent agency, and we do not claim to be. We do not directly refer models into modeling jobs for financial compensation, and do not represent models. Tampa Model Testing Photography Services - Espy Model Testing Program by Aurora PhotoArts Tampa Bay Photography and Design.

The Espy Model Testing Program, which began back in 2002, is a model test photography and evaluation program offered in the Tampa Bay area by Aurora PhotoArts. The Espy model testing program took a break for a few years, and then was overhauled from 2011 to 2012. Beginning in 2013, the Espy model testing program is once again extremely important as an evaluation tool for aspiring models and new models.
If you want to model, and have wondered how to get started in modeling, and if you actually have modeling potential, this program is for you. For Espy model testing participants who pass the evaluation, Espy can also serve as a perfect stepping stone for the modeling portfolio that you will need for your modeling career.
Since the point of testing any potential model is to ensure that they are as marketable as possible, all modeling photography in our Espy model testing program is family-friendly, and it is appropriate for underage models. Aspiring models who wish to have an effective modeling career should avoid “sexy” modeling, which includes boudoir, glamour, modeling in skimpy bikinis, and modeling in provocative poses. Models who choose to do high-risk modeling will find that it will be difficult to compete with professional models who have not made that mistake, and will find that it will be more difficult to book work as a model. Any photographer or modeling industry professional whom tries to get new models to be “sexy”, and do high-risk work, either do not know what they are doing, or are trying to take advantage of, and exploit, the model. Sometimes, it is both. Avoid such people in the industry if you wish to have a career as a model.
Models under the age of 18 are required to have their parents or legal guardian involved and present in any model testing session.
Espy is only available in the Tampa Bay area of Florida, and are booked on a first-come, first-serve basis. Participation slots in Espy sessions are limited.
