All content, which includes modeling job leads, is traceable, and we verify web traffic and the source of our information. Independent Modeling is a resource site for independent and agency-represented models who wish to enhance the marketability of their modeling careers, as well as have an advantage over limited models; those limited models being agency-only models who do not think for themselves, do not invest in their career, and allow modeling agencies to manage them, and to tell them what to do. Other limited models include models who try to put together competent professional modeling portfolios for free, using TFP, and who try to compete against professional models with cheap career tools. The independent models who use Independent Modeling are smart, professional models who know enough that to have an advantage over other models, that they have to invest in their careers. Independent Modeling is NOT a modeling and talent agency, and we do not claim to be. We do not directly refer models into modeling jobs for financial compensation, and do not represent models. Independent Modeling is not intended to be used for any advice, which includes legal advice, and any advice which can only be legally given by a licensed professional in a regulated profession. Working on the new Independent Modeling site

10/28/12/1405 - Tampa Bay, Florida - Today, the new Athena Class site for Independent Modeling launched, after two years of development. This Athena Class site shares the name of its predecessors only, and is the current official Athena Class site which our sister sites will also use. This web site is expected to be used for years to come, as it is a late 3rd generation web site from Aurora PhotoArts designed to be easily upgradable in the near future as a 4th generation web site with PHP databasing, social media, and user customizable capabilities. Unlike the past 7 years, Independent Modeling will no longer have to endure constant redesigns, as this web site is now what it should have been in the beginning; it is a stable, consistent, current platform for what we need to get done. This site is exactly what professionals in the new modeling industry will need, and it will put the old modeling industry in its place. Currently, the new Independent Modeling site has a lot of old content left on it, since it launched back in September of 2001, and a lot has changed since then, and we are in the process of going through that content, and old directories and files, and updating or replacing them. Please be patient, as we have a lot of work to do, still. As of today, the site has Initial Operational Capability (IOC), but it will literally take us several months of work to get it up to speed, and to get it fully operational with all tools and resources online. We expect to be fully operational again in early 2013. Basic features of the site are operational, now, however. This news post is the very first news post on the new Independent Modeling web site, as well.
Upcoming features include interactive tutorials, tutorials, anecdotes, articles, interviews, a new modeling risk and scam analysis database with a contextual scenario based front-end which connects to countermeasures and tools to address the issues, modeling pay vouchers, modeling agreements, paperwork, and releases, official Independent Modeling web comps, and more. Welcome to the new Independent Modeling!
As we work on achieving full operational status, we will build and deploy brand new Athena Class sites for our sister sites Independent Acting, Florida Models, and Florida Actors. A 5th Athena Class site is in the works for our upcoming Independent Talent sister site, too, as well as a 6th site in the future, which is currently classified as top secret.
Independent Modeling tools and technology will be adapted and deployed on regional sister sites Tampa Bay Modeling, Tampa Bay Acting, Tampa Bay Talent, Tampa Bay Dancer, and Tampa Bay Film as they are developed and deployed here. Although those site currently all need overhauls and need to be re organized for ease of use, all of them, with the exception of Tampa Bay Film, use the current Raptor 3 variant of the Raptor Class web site by Tampa Bay web design company and affiliate Aurora PhotoArts. These sites do not need to be redesigned or replaced. Tampa Bay Film will use a new Revolution Class site when it re launches later this year.
The Athena Class sites for Independent Acting, Florida Models, and Florida Actors will be online by November, 2012. Florida Models and Florida Actors, which were recent acquisitions of Independent Modeling and Independent Acting, currently have emulated, but updated, versions of the legacy sites online; the original sites not started or designed by our team. These legacy sites will remain, and will be converted to an online archive and museum as the new Athena Class sites launch right on top of them. The existing users of these sites will be stunned with the new Independent Modeling technologies, as they instantly progress from 1996 to 2012. These are exciting times!
